Attended the GoNorth music event in Inverness recently, as we were announcing a modest fund to support Scotland's music industry (£500,000). Guest speakers included Jazz Summers (manager for Wham, Lisa Stansfield, The Verve, Snow Patrol among others) and Alan McGhee, founder of Creation Records (Oasis, Primal Scream, Jesus and Mary Chain.
